Like
fellow Warner Bros. TV stars Connie Stevens, Edd Byrnes and Tab Hunter—all
highly esteemed members of our 'Collectors’ Choice Music' label
roster—Clint Walker parlayed his TV stardom into a recording contract,
and in this case, since he was the star of a western ('Cheyenne'), he
went country on this early-’60s Warner Bros. release. But he didn’t
go alone; as was the case on his fellow thespians’ crossover forays
into music, the label surrounded him with top-notch talent, in this case
arranger/conductor Ralph Carmichael, vocal arranger Jimmy Joyce and Hollywood’s
finest sessionmen. The result: a nicely polished recording debut with
no shortage of Clint’s bare-chested charisma! Includes 'With These
Hands; Without a Song; Whispering Hope; Blue Bird of Happiness; Love’s
Old Sweet Song; I Believe; The Kentuckian Song; Twilight on the Trail;
Love at Home; When Day Is Done; America the Beautiful', and 'My Kind of
Country'. A 'Collectors’ Choice Music' exclusive, with notes featuring
quotes from the man himself!
